VASANAS : Subtle desires.
VASTU : Article.
VEDANTA : The school of Hindu thoughts (based primarily on the Upanishads ).
VEDANTIN : One who follows the path of Vedanta
VEDAS : The most ancient authentic scripture of the Hindus, a revealed scripture and therefore free from imperfections.
VEERYA : Seminal energy.
VETTA : Knower.
VICHARA : Enquiry into the nature of the Self, Truth, Absolute, Brahman .
VIGRAHA : Attack.
VIKSHEPA : The tossing of mind.
VISHAYA : Sense-objects.
VIVEKA : Discrimination.
VRITTI : A wave in the mind-lake.
VYAVAHARA : (Worldly) activity.
They take us to those remote places that we have not seen, those heights we can never scale and those fairy lands we can hardly imagine. A drawing room for its decoration needs well designed furniture and printed curtains but it cannot be complete without a book-shelf. Books have ornamental value no less than material utility.

Then qualities that endear a devotee to Krishna, which Krishna next mentions, such as equality in both happiness and distress, independence from the ordinary course of activities, satisfaction, and the faithful following of the path of devotional service, are also part of the process of worshiping Krishna in devotional service.
